If you’re a parent looking for a new place to take your kids and let them play and have fun, check out the newly-opened Cafe N’ Play Guam located in Upper Tumon (details at the end of this post)!

Cafe N’ Play soft-opened last June much to the delight of me and my husband who are constantly looking for new ways and places to take our little girl. She doesn’t go to daycare so going out to play at Chuck E. Cheese’s or any playground is always a treat for her.

We decided to check out Cafe N’ Play and see what they have.

First of all, the cafe is spacious so there’s more room for the kids to run around and play. There’s a separate area for the parents/guardians, where they can sit and watch their kids, chat, eat or drink.

They have invested in a variety of toys suitable for every age group and there’s enough for everyone.

Their play fees are actually reasonable considering how spacious the play area is and the many activities your child can choose from. Although, I wish they have a rate for half an hour in case your little one wants to extend her playtime.

Another thing I like about Cafe N’ Play is that you actually earn $ credits for each visit. We got a dollar credit for every 1-hour playtime that can be used towards merchandise, drinks or snacks. We have been to Cafe N’ Play twice now and on our second visit, we used our $2.00 towards an Iced Latte from the coffee shop. This is definitely a great way to encourage return customers!

The mechanics of their reward system may change including how to redeem it so please check with them directly.

What about the “Cafe” in Cafe N’ Play? They offer many coffee-based drinks, sodas, and juices. I’ve mentioned that we tried their Iced Latte, and frankly, I make better coffee at home using my Nespresso. Also, maybe have some white or brown sugar or even sugar syrup available for the customers. We all have different preferences when it comes to the level of sweetness in our coffee and artificial sweetener just doesn’t cut it for me. Maybe, I will try something else on my next visit.

The first time we were there, they have a number of pastries and cakes on display but the second time, there wasn’t much. I wish they offer some other type of food too aside from microwavable snacks and cup noodles. Pasta, fresh salads, and sandwiches would go nicely with coffee too!

Most of the toys and activities inside Cafe N’ Play Guam are perfectly suited for young children but older kids are always welcome to join in on the fun. You can also rent and play a game console (was it Nintendo or PS4?) too, watch a kiddie movie, play miniature golf or just simply hang while your child plays.

There are still plenty of other play areas that I wasn’t able to take a picture of including the pretend-play sets, kiddie gym area, plastic seesaws and rockers, basketball, soccer, bowling game area, etc.

My daughter had a blast playing inside Cafe N’ Guam and that is more than enough reason for us to come back. Given that they are still on soft opening and probably still has a few more things to improve on, I still think that they did a great job and we’ll surely visit on a regular basis!

UPDATE as of May 2019: We’ve visited Cafe N’ Play many times now and my daughter absolutely loves playing there and making new friends. They constantly update their stock of toys and the staffs are as friendly as ever.
